You may have noticed that the 2017 e-Golf looks different from the 2016 model, and that’s because it is. The 2017 e-Golf marks the debut of a whole new style for the Golf lineup, but what’s even more exciting are the changes that VW has going on under the hood. An improved battery means that you’ll get 134 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque along with an vastly improved range. Read more below or check out the e-Golf inventory that we have in store at Stevens Creek Volkswagen right now.

Range

This could be the improvement that you are most interested in. For the 2017 model year, the Volkswagen e-Golf is getting a significant battery upgrade, and it is projected to get up to 124 miles of range. That comes from the new 35.8 kWh battery.

Charging

Charge times are a concern for some, but with the e-Golf you have nothing to worry about. With the use of available DC Fast Charging you can go from a nearly dead battery to 80% charge in as little as 20 minutes. The 7.2 kW on-board charger is now a standard e-Golf feature too!

Technology

VW isn’t skimping on technology in the latest version of this electric Golf. New options include 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment screen, Front Assist with Pedestrian Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor Plus with Rear Traffic Alert, and more!

2017 Volkswagen e-Golf trim levels and options

The e-Golf will feature two trims for the 2017 model, and they are trims that you may be familiar with if you are familiar with other Volkswagen vehicles. The base models is the SE and the next step up from that is the SEL. See what both of these trims have to offer and find out which one is right for you.

  • VW e-Golf SE: The SE is a fully featured base model vehicle, and of course it still features the all-electric drivetrain that you are interested in along with the improved range and 35.8 kWh battery that the 2017 model promises. It also comes with a 7.2 kW on-board charger, keyless access with push button start, and a rearview camera system.
  • VW e-Golf SEL: The SEL comes with your Discover Media Pro infotainment system and navigation along with DC Fast Charging. The SEL also features an optional driver assistance package that includes much of the technology we spoke of earlier.

If you need help deciding which trim is right for you, or if you would like to know more about this all-electric vehicle from Volkswagen, feel free to reach out to the team at Stevens Creek Volkswagen. We would love to be of assistance and we can even set you up with a test drive.
